I found out about the National legal Network services from an advertisement on TV. I have paid this company $2,500 to process a mortgage modification loan request for me through Bank of America...process is pending. I may have made a stupid mistake not knowing that I could have got the service for free.

Click on the "Scams" link in the top menu bar above. There's an article on
"LOAN MODIFICATION FRAUD: WHAT YOU CAN DO IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED OR BECOME AWARE OF FRAUD"

Also, please post a review here on TrustLink if you haven't done so already! The company is linked above and you can click on "reviews" to get to their storefront and post your own. Thanks.

Just so you know, most mortgage companies don't need your money upfront if you have any equity whatsoever or even none. This is because they can work it into the loan. You end up owing that money but it is spread out over the life of the loan. Anyone who asks for money upfront should be a red flag for you. They would only offer this as an option to reduce the loan's interest. But keep pursueing. Any problems then you can sue in small claims court and it is not that hard to do this. Go to your local County claims court office and ask how to file.
