Wonderful company


I want to thank Barbara Stein, Angara Jeweler, for outstanding work and help. She has an outstanding knowledge in the gemology area, plus her personal ability to treat people nicely makes the jewelry pieces I purchased with her help especially valuable.
I have purchased at this point three pieces of jewelry from this company, and all of them have been of excellent quality. It is hard to believe that I get more help and assistance from an on-line company than any local jewelry store. Barbara has a gift for
treating people with so much respect and care that makes me want to go back for more purchases.

Awesome Customer Service


Customer Service at Angara is very very helpful. Kind and courteous and takes the time to get to know their customers and works with them until the end, the final beautiful jewelry. I bought many beautiful awesome jewelry pieces from Angara. I had some

Very disappointed on such a special occassion


In this review I have tried to enclosed 2 pictures (photos tell 1000 words)which could show the 2 flaws on the ring. Unfortunately my future wife identified these four days outside the warranty as I had the ring for a few days before I proposed: 1. One
of the 32 diamonds is slightly yellow (and accordingly to the jeweller it's definitely not dirt just a different type of diamond, the same quality but a different colour). From the picture/description of the ring on the website it appears all the diamonds
should match in colour and quality; 2. After further examination from the jeweller, he also acknowledged a weakness near the shoulder of the ring (like a cut/bubble on the metal which can be rectified with a laser) I contacted Angara and found Barbara to be
less than sympathetic to the situation considering I had spent so much with the company. I had expected a far superior service. On raising the points above, they requested that I send back the ring (no problem with this), however they wanted me to cover the
insurance and the cost of shipping myself and were not prepared to refund these costs if they did find a problem with the ring. From Portugal to the US this will be a huge expense and it will be cheaper for me to rectify the problem with the jeweller here.
Over all this experience has been a disaster and not the start to the new life I wanted with my wife to be. I hope this review will makes you think twice about using Angara, especially when giving such a precious and meaningful gift. After posting my review
into Trustlink and Angara’s facebook page highlighting my experience with Angara and customer services, I was surprised to find that I was contacted by Barbara over the phone. She was very polite, friendly (not at all like she appeared during our e-mail conversations)
and tried to rectify the situation. Barbara very kindly offer me the possibility to send back the ring through a Portuguese courier company of my choice explaining to the Customs that the reason behind it would be for repair purposes. A cheque of 100 dollars
would have been forward to me to helping me paying these expenses. In terms of insuring the ring I would have to deal with it on my own. After arriving to Angara’s headquarter in Los Angeles, the flaws found on the ring would be repaired accordingly and delivered
back to any destination I wanted. All customs fees would be paid by Angara. I agreed with Barbara, this was minimum I had expected. However, and after speaking with the courier company they confirmed me that the only way to dispatched the ring back to the
States would be if I had an invoice from a local company in Portugal. By being a private customer and it does not matter if I can prove through an invoice from Angara that I bought them the ring, accordingly to the Portuguese Legislation I cannot send this
type of product back to the States. I was back square one! I explained the customs situation to Angara and suggested that they should try to understand or make people aware of the difficulties to return goods if they are faulty. This type of information would
have been very useful and could have avoided these complications. I told Barbara that it wouldn’t be possible for the reasons mentioned above. I suggested Angara make a good will gesture of €900 to spend on any other of Angara’s products to compensate me and
my fiancée to try to rectify the situation. Barbara offered us $300. I understand that Angara have tried to rectify the situation and custom legislation is not in their favour but at the end of the day Angara provided us with a faulty product have had to rectify
at our own expense.

We apologize for your disappointing experience at Angara.com At Angara we respect the fact that jewelry is purchased for very special occasions and wanted to contribute to your happy day. We did try to put ourselves in your shoes and offer the best possible service. Although you contacted us outside of the 30 day return policy we offered to repair the issues of concern and we would pay to send the ring back to you. Each country has different laws. Portuguese Law would not allow you to send the ring back to us. We have no control over this. Part of our alternative solution is to give you a $300 Angara gift card. The repair will cost you substantially less at a local fine jeweler. The situation is not optimal due to Portuguese law which is beyond our control, however we do feel the solution is fair.

Insane "Customer relations"


I was given a ship date of 1 week for a gift card. I sent an email asking if they could send me the card number, like everybody else. Barbara sent me an email saying she tried to call me with an answer, but nobody picked up. Naturally, I asked if she could email it. She responded that she could email it, but I had to have a working phone # to fulfill the order. What? My phone works just fine, thank you. This exchange went back and forth. She never answered my question and told me that my "non-working" phone had raised an alert within the system. Apparently, my order could only be filled if someone answered my telephone. And all of this was done to a repeat customer. In total, 8 emails were exchanged. The ninth was me cancelling the order. This was by far the stupidest and most unproductive exchange I've ever had with a company. My theories are as follows: 1. They gave me a discount on a gift card, which they probably shouldn't have. This was their way of angering me so much I would cancel the order. 2. Barbara is ignorant of standard business practices and is insane. 3. Barbara was getting a good laugh out of trying to give me a stroke There is no way for me to paint a happy face on this. It was just stupid and futile.

Love Love Angara


I am a new customer and have ordered twice. The online chat helped me make a decision and she didn't disappoint me, She was wonderful her name is Barbara. I received my items in less then a week and was completely satisfied. The offering of 3 payments is the best!!!!I have only ordered Tanzanite so far and I have to say both my necklace and ring were beautiful!!!! I finally have found my Jewelry Store. Thank you Angara! Angara Ring


I purchased a 3 stone tanzanite ring from Angara and was sure to read all the reviews prior to purchase. I did see a few negative experiences, but speaking with Barbara the sales person, was assured they offered the best quality ring and setting. I was very excited to purchase it and when it came and opened it looked as wonderful as the picture. However, after putting the ring on I noticed that the settings kept getting snagged on my clothing and noticed when I put a magnifying glass up to it that some of the prongs were broken and jagged.
I called Barbara and although wonderful with the sale, she now made it sound like I was complaining about a minor prong snag, however, both sides of the 3 stones had jagged edges and it scratched my skin when it moved and it snagged on to everything. Barbara finally agreed to have me send it back, however, after reading horrible return reviews, I decided to keep the ring and take it to a jeweler and have the ring repaired local. They stated the setting was very cheap and several prongs were cracked and missing.
I would have to say, I would not buy another ring from the company.

Simply the best online shopping experience Ihave ever had


After looking for months to find the perfect ring and stressing over costs and getting something to match my fiance's tastes, I found Angara.com. The selection of gemstone engagement rings they have is out of this world, and the website is both intuitive and visually stunning. Another important thing to mention here is the fact that they make it absurdly easy to find and talk with a customer service expert while browsing. In my case, this person was Barbara... Stein, I believe, is her last name. She is the highlight of this review. She helped me shop without hassling me, she explained all about rubies and jewelry in general, and she was honest and upfront about everything. What's more, she checked up on me after the ring arrived (it was stunning, by the way), she showed a genuine interest in my engagement and when money got tight during my payments, she worked with me in a way that was more than just fair, it was downright kind. I couldn't recommend this site and the people behind it more enthusiastically. If you're looking for new jewelry, go to Angara and if you can, ask to talk with Barbara.

Angara was very helpful. I talked to them using their online chat system before ordering, and the lady who helped me was able to get my ring adjusted to exactly the right size and shipped to me very promptly! The ring was also beautiful. Highly recommended!

I believe Angara.com is one of the great gemstone jewelry and diamond jewelry sites. I thought of writing a review here after getting beautiful pair of sapphire earrings from Angara. The pear square sapphire and diamond dangle earrings in 14k white gold that I got are simply superb. It's the real value for money and style. I was very happy to see a very neat and clean new design they have recently launched. All the gemstone jewelry segments are easily navigable from the top menu bar, be it rings, earrings, pendants, engagement rings / bands, etc. birthstone jewelry, gifts, etc. I liked their recent diamond rings, earrings collection as it is quite exclusive than other sites which I have seen. The best thing I like about product selection is when you click on any product from the listing, it shows 3 similar design products with varied price range and quality to select before you add to cart. Moreover they have also shown mouse over product information on the product listing page which is easy to shortlist products based on specifications, if you can understand few of them:) However to an average person few things are easily understandable. One more good thing about Angara.com is they have great offers on the home page only so easy way to get great deals instead of searching for discount coupons, promotion codes on other sites. Angara has also provided very good and speedy filtering of products on the left side of the product list which does not load entire page again and refreshes the products filtered instantly. They have also got few good new design products which I did not notice before. The live chat is also very handy for you to get answers to your queries instantaneously. Angara.com also provided up to 120 products listing with good size of all product images which is helpful while surfing through the site. So, overall their new design gives me great surfing experience through the jewelry products and makes you shop online easier. I recommend to try it once and am sure you will like it too. - Amy

We just received our order. It is beautiful!!! We are very impressed with the quality and also the really good service! I am sure my son will propose this weekend. What is really great about all of this is he never could have gotten a ring this nice at a jewelry store especially for the money. he just graduated from college and naturally money is tight. Very quick to answer the phone, return phone calls, and emails. They went above and beyond to ship the diamond ring out quickly and I couldn't be any happier with them. I had it independently inspected and appraised and it came back for far more then I paid meaning insurance won't be an issue. Very smooth transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
