Defective Furniture for Sale
On Dec. 4 I took my Mom shopping for dining room chairs. Easy Life was one of several stores we visited and Mom liked how some chairs looked and thought they would fit in the dining room. She bought 6 at $70 each with an extra assembly charge and delivery, totaling $560.
Two weeks later one chair buckled upon being sat on, with the wood cracking. Two days later another chair buckled and I thought I was going to fall. Mom had already called in to have the first chair replaced, but now would like a full refund of the 6 chairs. We called the store and spoke with the Supervisor Jill about our concern for future breakage and potential injury to my 82 year old Mother.
As I made the request three times, Jill recounted company policy of only replacing broken furniture, and that SHE HAS GOTTEN NO COMPLAINTS of broken furniture. I guess she meant no complaint that day since the past 12 months there were 120 pending complaints on the Better Business Bureau about the products and service.
To no avail, Jill parroted the company policy of replacing only broken furniture. You've got to love her dedication to the company's flawed policy, endangering the lives of individuals as they uncomfortably sit on defective furniture. We'll see how long this game of replacing broken furniture will take before we have to go to small claims court. I only hope that nobody gets hurt from sitting on these poorly built and defective chairs.
RECOMMENDATION: stay away from this establishment.

I WAS CONTACTED SUNDAY @ 330 PM TO WHICH THE DELIVERY WINDOW WAS FROM 130-330PM. I WAS ADVISED THAT THE TRUCK WAS OUTSIDE MY RESIDENCE TO DELIVER AND NO ONE WAS ANSWERING THE DOOR. I WORK ON THE SAME STREET AS MY OLD RESIDENCE SO I WENT OUTSIDE WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH JOE AND ADVISED NO ONE WAS INFRONT OF MY OLD RESIDENCE I ASKED TO CONFIRM THE ADDRESS ON FILE FOR DELIVERY AND THEY READ THE OLD RESIDENCE SO JOE LIED NO ONE WAS THERE AND I PHONED MY HUSBAND ASKING IF THE DELIVERY TRUCK WAS AT OUR NEW PLACE HE STATED NO. MEANWHILE JOE FINALLY CONFESSED HE AS THE WHAREHOUSE MANAGER ADVISED HIS DRIVER TO HEAD OUT TO THE NEXT DELIVERY AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE ANOTHER WEEK TO RECEIVE THE BEDS... Went to the Cerritos Store and saw a nice sectional on sale called the Stratford Lexor. The sign on the sectional said leather...but it did not look like leather. I asked the associate if this was leather match (which I knew it was based on prior investigation). She said leather match is where they make sure the colors on the parts of the sofa match. However, I confronted her stating leather match is really bonded leather and that most of the sectional is really made up of plastic mix with a very very small percentage of leather. Or basically a vinyl couch.
She finally had to admit to me its bonded leather....but the sign still shows "Leather".
Pretty dishonest way of selling...

After 10 months of lite use of our couches the leather began to show the lining beneath the leather near the seam. So we have ugly white patched of missing leather which only seems to be getting worse. I had purchased the extended "accidental" warranty by Guardian that covered the first five years but since there was No accident it was of no use and that company referred me back to Easylife. Since it happend in the first year it should be covered under the one year warranty so I called Easylife to have the spots (3-4 different spots and two different couches) reviewed. It seemed pretty obvious that this should not happen in the first year and that it was due to poor quality which is a manufacturing issue. I have gotten the biggest run around with many unreturned calls and poor judgement. Between Dececember of 2010 and April of 2011 a technician came out to review the spots both times claiming that the "scratches" weren't covered. I know the technician didn't speak good english but there were NO SCRATCHES and both times the company rejected that they were responsible. I cant use the Guardian 5 year warranty because we have taken good care of the couches and didnt have an accident and I cant use the 1 year warranty because Easylife has no intention of following through on their promise to guarantee the item for the first year. Now I come to find out that a friend of mine with the same couch has the same problem happening to her couch. I would never shop at Easylife again. They have no integrity and if they say they will cover the first year should a defect arise then they should do it. So here is my warning...Stay away!
The couch is the Odyssey Bark Camille Bonded Leather and it is a sectional. Its very pretty but even with lite use will begin to deteriorate before the first year is up.

CAUTION, I was almost a customer of EasyLife Furniture but due to the Poor Customer Service I was Saved. My Husband and I went into the Easy Life in Murrieta, found something we liked and scheduled a delivery for the following Saturday. Well we received a call on friday for delivery on Sunday. I called the store in Murrieta they took a look at the receipt and it stated Sat the 19th but the 19th was a Sunday so they scheduled delivery for Sunday. They basically told me it was my fault I can not read.really.. When I talked to the associate who wrote the contract she told me No it was discussed for Sunday not Saturday. I held the phone up so she could hear my Husbands response to what she had just said, OMG she hung up on me. Called back got the Manager gave her the story, again she called me a liar. I requested that since I had to change my schedule again that they comp. me shipping or something... They offered nothing just to cancel the contract. BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED. What ever happened to Customer Service? You will not get it at EasyLife Furniture.

DON'T BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY! It was a big disappointment when I spend over $1000 in furniture and it starts to fall apart in less than 45 days. I was told that they can not help me and it sounds like I mis-used the furniture. That is defiantly not the case. They offered me no resolution to this problem and basically told me I'm stuck with the purchase. This has been the worse experience ever. This was an exchange for the first furniture that they delivered that was the wrong color and they argued with me that it was the same that was on the showroom floor. It clearly was not. Please beware that their furniture is poor quality and if you have a problem with your merchandise... tough luck. I give this company -5 stars!!!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC HERE!!!
They do not honor the warranty that comes with the furniture they sell. If you have any problems with the furniture (and you likely will), it seems impossible to get them to correct the problems. They make countless false promises; they fail to show up to their repair appointments; the fail to call you back; they refuse to exchange your furniture when you have repeated issues which cannot be repaired....and all of this misconduct is occurs at the managerial level! The employees....forget about them! They're far worse! The store manager does not accept responsibility for anything and doesn't feel the least bit apologetic even when his store was admittedly wrong. He just defers the blame to the people at corporate. The only thing that will correct a customer's problem is a small claims lawsuit which I am preparing to file for breach of warranty, breach of contract, misrepresentation, and false advertisement.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!! You will regret it. There was a defect in a sofa I purchased, in cash, and I called and spoke to someone who set up a day to exchange the sofa. The day came and the people that were supposed to come out never did. I called the store and spoke to a Toni, and explained what was happening and she said that person who took the order forgot to add some numbers to it so that there was no order placed. When I explained to her that i had given up my plans for the memorial day weekend just to wait on the couch she had the audacity to ask "what do you want". Since she took that tone of not caring I asked to speak to the manager and she claimed that she was the manager. These people need to take a course on customer care because she was just so unbelievably rude. She did not want to try to rectify the situation never did I get an apology for THEIR screw up. Since I knew she wasn't going to do her job and help I just asked for my money back and this Toni said that she was not going to give me my money back. I wish I would have done my homework and looked at these helpful reviews before setting foot in Easy life in Northridge, California or any other one for that matter.

I purchased a girls dresser, mirror and bed in Jan 2009. Since I purchased it; the drawers have been extremely difficult to pull out. The workmanship has been horrible quality; an adult male cannot even pull half of the drawers out they are so hard. Finally one of the drawers broke. I am still under the manufacturer warranty. I called in Nov to have someone come out and check it. I am told that I need to pay $80 for the reps gas. Rediculous. I am supposed to go the store where I purchased in and put in the request (Palmdale store) and then pay for it there. There was no charge. Then today; I get a phone call that I need to take the piece of broken furniture to the Buena Park store because I picked it (mind that I originally pick up the furniture to avoid the outrageous delivery fees). Its funny how online they do not post their warranty policy. Hmmm.
