Best work I've ever had!
This work-from-home opportunity has been wonderful to me. I started April 2011 and by Sept '11 I was invited to the SalesPro line. This is not "just a job"...it is my business. You must know how to keep your computer running and in top working shape...just like any contractor, your equipment must be operational at all times, and when you commit to time, they count on you to be there...it is not their fault if your computer, phone, internet, etc has problems. When their system is at fault and you miss time, it is forgiven. There are lines that make more than $.25/min...my hourly average is between $15-$22 PER HOUR. You will get in return what you put into this business. Knowing how to read and follow directions is a big part of this, as is treating callers with respect...that should just go without saying...as is being efficient with your computer. Help is always available, but just like any business, head honchos, management, and others do get time off, but there is always someone to help or to point you in the right direction for the help you need.
I have been treated with respect here, and love working for LiveOps...Is it for everyone? No. I was never a salesman, but I'm proud to call myself that now. There are also other opportunities that do not require selling and I also work those lines too...but you must work your way there.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
Make your own schedule in 30 minute increments
Get trained in myriad of informmericals
Receive discounts on informmercials related to company
Work from home using landlines phone and computer/laptop
Great if you are unable to leave home for work for whatever reason(New baby disable, etc)
Highest Virtual call center pay .25 cents per each talk time on phone
Cons:
You may be on the phone waiting for a call for hours with no call hence no pay either.
Only negative really is that the pay is not consistent that's why I stopped I needed stability
Otherwise I still refer ppl I know to work for them
Oh Yeah you have to pay $50 for a background check but you get it back in you first paycheck(meaning not reimbursed but worth it)

My experience with LiveOps
LiveOps is a ok company to work for. I get paid when I'm supposed too but that is not the problem I've experienced with them. LiveOps has a ridiculous compliance system. I have not been with the company that long but withing the little time that I have been with them I have received numerous compliances. Some make sense but most don't. You get a compliance just for breathing hard. LiveOps uses these compliances to get rid of people they don't like or favor. There is no management that you can speak too. If you have a problem you are forced to ASR Reps. When you ask these reps to help you, most of the time they tell you that there is nothing they can do about the problem. When you ask to speak to someone in authority you are told there is no one which I find to be very strange and unusual. I had a problem with one of the reps because of her attitude towards me and I reported it just to be told by another rep of the same status that she did not feel like this rep was being rude to me. As a result of my reporting this rep, I started to receive back to back compliances for no reason. I had a problem with my computer and I reported it to advise someone. Liveops out of spite used this against me and issued me a compliance. I was rudely told that it was my responsibility to make sure my equipment was working properly. Then 2 more reps wrote me harrasing emails telling me it was my responsibily to make sure my equipment was working. I feel like I am being discriminated against by this company. Management is very poor here. I feel that people of color are treated different here.

It's not going to be worth it. This company pays based on talk time only. There are slim to no calls, so what happens is, you end up providing services for free or making, for example... $3.00 total for 5 hours of time that you spend on the phone. You'll pay the background check fee which really is their money maker off of you...Then, once you get in....you'll just 'sit' for hours on end and provide services for absolutely no pay in your pocket. The workforce is costing them nothing and they're getting paid from your background fee. They're going downhill very fast as being a top company to work for. Opt for a company where you're an employee where you know you get guaranteed hourly pay. Don't get lured in by the 'I'm a business owner' and 'I can work when I want' type of mentality that others are using as an excuse. I've put my time in here for almost 5 years....Tier 1 consistently as far as performance.. and if I've seen anything, it's been pay decreases and lower call volume and cutbacks of workers. If you have bills and mortgage payments and rent, those things are not going to stop when Live Ops call volume stops. This is no longer a company that I am proud to be a part of and I would not recommend them. Get a position that will put a steady paycheck in your pocket and you know what you're making each month....guaranteed. Live Ops is not a company that will do that for you. Keep your $50.00...use it for another company. There are too many people that just got hired recently saying that all they want to do now, is work to get their $50.00 back so they can leave.

This company is a RIPOFF!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!! My wife signed up, was accepted and went through all the testing. There is NO help when asking questions. There was a conference call on Wed morning 2-9-11. That was a joke. Everyone was talking over each other and nothing was accomplished. She started to take calls today, 2-10-11. She was getting calls for products she was not even qualified or certified for like health insurance. When she tried to transfer the call to the right department ( as per the instructions) she got a fast busy and go the caller back. She posted a question in chat ( like she was told to do) and was told not to do that again and that chat was being closed down due to high call volume. She was on the phone for 3 hrs and got 3 calls. There is not any type of training where you can take practice calls to see how everything works before taking live calls. There is NO phone number to call into for help. Trust link does seem to allow you to give no stars about a business, so that is why there is 1 star.

After working for 3 days on the Livework project "image review" I was told this evening that I would not be paid because I wasn't supposed to be working...this came AFTER I had sent 3 emails throughout the weekend about working, with no response. I figured it was okay to work. I wouldn't have worked if they would have sent an email telling me not to. I am not stupid, my time is important. When I log into my summary page I find out my 3 days worth of work had been deleted. So, it looks like I never worked at all. I think that this is very unprofessional and a company like LiveOps/Livework should pay me for the time I spent doing their work. I would not ask them to work for free and certainly would communicate with my Independent Contractors. Which they did not...and haven't. I will be contacting my attorney in this matter.

I am an independent contractor with LiveOps. Although I have been there less than one year, there are many other contractors who have been with LiveOps 5+ years. They application process does take a few steps. There is a background and credit check that does cost $50.00. Submission of this fee does not guarantee a position. I also have outstanding student loans and this did not affect me. The previous reviewer must have had other issues which prevented them from being offered the independent contractor job. Once you have passed the application process, you are trained on certain product lines for which you will be providing your services. There are rules in place and they must be followed. The guidelines are there for a reason. The hours are great as you can work a schedule that fits your life. Work hours are offered 24 hours a day 7 days a week. When others are worrying about being laid off or cut back, this company offers something extra. They provide bonuses and it is up to you to earn up to your potential. LiveOps is the best job I have ever had and had I known about it sooner, I would have appliead years ago.

I had applied to LiveOps several months ago, but later changed my mind and decided not to complete the process, due to the number of negative reviews I had read, suggesting deceptive company practices. My main concern was the fact that I had an outstanding student loan that I was paying off. I decided to contact LiveOps via email to ask if student loans were considered in their debt calculations. As most companies allow certain exclusions such as student loans and medical bills within credit checks, I wanted to know what LiveOps policy was before handing over a $50.00 application fee. I received an email from LiveOps which advised me to contact First Advantage stating that they would make that determination. Upon contacting First Advantage I was advised that they had no idea why LiveOps would refer me to them. The representative stated that LiveOps would be the ones to decide if they would consider student loans in the passing of their credit check. Since I could not appear to get a straight answer to this question, I decided to complete my application and pay the fee for the credit check. Needless to say, I shortly received an email from LiveOps which stated I failed. Upon contacting First Advantage I was told that I had failed due to my student loan balance. I was also advised that LiveOps allowed no exclusions whatsover, regardless of type of debt. I was told that student loans, which are often categorized as "good debt" was no exception. LiveOps continues to make a considerable amount of money by enticing applicants to apply without full disclosure of their stringent requirements for the passing of their credit check. While they list the amount of allowable debt, they do not clarify what type of debt is considered/included within their calculations. There are countless online postings from potential applicants wanting to know if such debts as student loans and medical bills are considered by LiveOps. As no one seems to be providing these answers, these applicants simply take the same risk as I did by paying a $50.00 fee and then realize that they just gave $50.00 away to a company that lured them in, without giving them all the facts and literally stole their hard earned money. LiveOps has an obligation whether it is a legal or a moral one to offer full disclosure of what exactly is considered in their credit checks. They should not be allowed to continue to make a living off of their clueless applicants.

I work as an independent agent for this company. They are a great company to work for. They are one of the few legitimate work at home companies around. I have never had a problem with my pay. I get to choose my own days and hours to work. And I make enough to pay my bills. Just like everything else in life...you get out of it what you put into it. There are strict regulations...there have to be. You take calls for a variety of vendors. I have been with them for @ 1 1/2 years...but there are others that have been with them for 5 years or more. Great for stay-at-home moms, people with disabilities that keep them from working a regular 9-5 job...or even as a part time job to help out in rough times. I am not an employee of the company...I am an independent contractor.
