Love these guys! I live in Los Angeles, and the speed with which my Newegg orders ship always puts a smile on my face... I actually paid for standard shipping and received my parts overnight on a few occasions. Good prices, lots of product reviews... in my opinion, they're the de facto online computer part retailer.

You may like the prices, reviews and selection but wait till you try to do a refund with newegg you will find out they are crooks. If you don't believe me look up the reviews on glassdoor.com for newegg. These reviews are written by the employees of newegg. Glassdoor.com has 58 reviews, out of a possible highest 5 stars they have a very low 2.3 star rating. You read many comments like this sample from the employees, "I have worked in many workplaces. This is one of the worst and I would have never known by looking at the website that this company was run in the fashion that it is.". Truly newegg is a dark and sinister place, my newegg refund experience of getting horribly mistreated & ripped-off by these gangsters confirms exactly what their employees say about the nature of this place from WITHIN.

Bad experience for no good reason. Worse follow up.
I saw a good deal on a good product. I tried to buy. However, I wanted to use PayPal. For reasons that no one can figure out, Newegg would not ship to my CONFIRMED PayPal address. They would ship only to an obsolete address. That address was no longer present on my PayPal account. Not even the PayPal customer service people could find it. Newegg Customer service was no help. Policies are policies.
Now, here's where it gets weird:
I posted a negative review on another review site. Newegg customer service tracked me down and also had that review deleted because I had not made a purchase.
Of course, that was my complaint: I couldn't make a purchase I wanted to make! If I'd been able to make a purchase, I wouldn't have had a complaint.
The site policies required only an intent to make a transaction ("shopping, but not necessarily buying" in normal person talk).
The point is: Newegg gets good reviews because they hunt down and eliminate bad reviews.
Be careful. Things will probably go well for you, but if they don't, too bad.

Avoid NewEgg
After doing business with NewEgg and spending well over $100,000 over five years I'm now warning people to avoid doing business with them. They do NOT have customer service. In this case, they made a mistake and after a week and a half cannot deal with it.
THIS SITE GETS RESULTS! I RECEIVED AN EMAIL TELLING ME MY ACCOUNT WAS UNBLOCKED but I still advise great caution in dealing with this company. I'll move them to two stars because of the rapid response to this site, but it would have been much nicer not to have gone this route.

Miserable shipping and customer service
It just took 12 days for one piece of software to be received from this joke of a company. First of all it took 6 days to even get a tracking number. 6 days just to ship one CD? You have got to be kidding me!!I tried their live chat twice to try to get an update on my shipping status and also tried email. Their answer each time was that it has been shipped. They couldn't tell me anything else. I have been a customer of Newegg for many years but this experience has definitely terminated my future use of this company. They might as well not have a customer service department because they are totally useless!!

Newegg needs to pay better attention to its customers
I have been a long time customer of Newegg. Needless to say I am very dissatisfied with the handling of my rebate with Corsair. When I contacted Newegg regarding this issue (Isabelle) had acted as if I should continue to wait. I had explained that Corsair told us that they either didn't receive our rebate, or it was lost in the mail. Upon investigating "Corsair rebates" I find numerous stories of Corsair failing to issue rebates. This was explained to the Newegg rep, and we would just like our rebate.
Newegg should be able to handle the rebate process when their vendors fail to follow through, whether it is to promptly contact the vendor and make sure it is issued immediately, or take care of the customer and get reimbursed from the vendor.
As mentioned we are extremely dissatisfied as long time customers, and are considering not shopping with Newegg based on this experience.

Would recommend newegg to anyone I've spent about 1700$ on parts and they all come on time and in good condition my last order however didn't contain 1 of the items I ordered but I've called customer service who was helpful and it should be resolved soon. Very happy with service and speed of items recieved, one of the best online stores around.

I was a pretty big Newegg fan for a long time until my last order with them.
I placed an order a week ago so that I may receive it before moving out of state. I wanted to piece together a good computer for my mother so she would have something fast and reliable to skype web-cam chat with my husband and I.
When I had my husband check on the order today (it sends updates to his email) he realized he had received an email stating our order couldn't be placed due to insufficient funds on the card used. That confused me because I know the card I used had plenty of money. Well it ends up that it was charging the default Discover card on the account that has a max limit of $500.
When I placed the order I clicked that I did not want to use the default card and I entered in a new card. My husband quickly changed the payment to our bank account and replaced the order. Two minutes later when he informed me of this I had him cancel it since it would no longer get to our current location before we moved. He got another email saying the cancel failed and that the charge went through. I checked and it ends up it was again charging his discover card, and this time it went through and was about to cost us a nice overdraft fee.
I called Newegg, obviously frustrated, and explained what was going on to the rep. I was told that all he could do was cancel the order;He didn't seem to care that we were possibly going to receive an over-draft fee or that we could no longer get the order in time. As the call progressed I became more upset with his lack of helpfulness as he stated things such as "Well WE didn't do it, the system automatically does what is entered." and "What do you want me to do? I canceled the order so now you have to reorder it. I can't order it for you." Well for one, I want you to CARE that your system is somehow going haywire on me and continuously trying to charge the wrong card. I used the F word in a sentence, not at all directed towards him and he said "Ma'am, do not speak to me like that or I WILL end this call." Thanks for the help Newegg!

Newegg is trying to resolve my issue through my husband because I am done dealing with them. I changed the 1 star to 2, which would have been higher had I not had to give them a bad review to receive assistance. I did send in a typed complaint to their site but not only was there no clear cut place to complain, they also have not responded to me from there.
The review would have easily been a 4-star had my initial call been helpful and the customer service representative cared how inconvenient it will be to have the stuff now shipped to California (where there is extra tax), build the pc, and then ship it back to TX at our own cost. I know there is no way he could have made things 100% right considering the situation, but had he put forth any effort to try and do so I would have been moderately appeased.

While it is true that NewEgg has good prices and selection of their products, they are misleading anyone who thinks that they will get their product in a timely manner, or even when promised. I placed one order on 09/05/11, supplied my credit card information, and billing/shipping address. Then, I received an email stating that due to shipping restrictions, my order was split, part being sent USP ground, the rest FedEx. Also, my one order now had two order numbers (123859843 & 123859863). No big deal, or so I thought. Both were submitted to my Credit Card, which authorized the payments on 09/05/2011 (verified). My problem started when I received an email on 09/06/2011 stating that the shipping address needed verification. I immediately verified the address on file with my credit card company. It was correct, so I called NewEgg's customer service. The representative was polite & said not to worry, I had called in enough time to get my shipment by 09/08/2011. I asked if the other order number had gotten stuck as well and was told no and that it was being shipped from Tennessee an New Jersey.
I did not have any reason to think that this wasn't true. On 09/07/2011 I received another email stating that the second order number (123859843) was being "held" for address verification. I sent in the requested electronic verification of my address as well as requested an explanation for how their aptly named "fraud department" had allowed shipping of order number 123859863 and "held" order number 123859843 for address verification. No reply. So, I called back and was told by the repress stove that he didn't know why it was held and he would immediately call and get the order released from shipping. That never happened. I had supplied my phone number in case he couldn't fix the problem. I never received a call. Today, 09/08/2011, I logged onto my Required NewEgg account to get all of the shipping numbers. Unfortunately, only one is showing shipped, and one is showing held for address verification!!?
Now to be clear, I only submitted the address ONE (1) time, yet NewEgg dosen't recognize that they already verified it. Why bother to create an "account" with them if they can not/will not acknowledge a shipping address after they were paid three days prior? Why bother to pay for a "rush order"? Any other company with whom I've ever dealt, has used softwear to verify billing and shipping addresses at the time of payment. Not to mention that apparently calling customer service is a useless waste of time as they are going to tell you that you will get what you ordered and nothing is wrong.
I feel that NewEgg is dishonest about "processing time" for orders, that they have a polite and totally ineffective customer service department and I wish I had read reviews here before ordering. Unless changes are made, I will NOT be ordering from them again.

NewEgg used to have great customer service, but they have slid so far down the hill now that I will never order from them again or recommend them to anyone.
Two weeks ago, I placed an order with them, rush handling, 3 day shipping. The SO# was 106031635 (8/9/2011). Needless to say, two weeks later, and I still haven't received the complete order, while the timer ticks down on the 30 day return policy.
First things first, I contacted them via "Live Chat", and was very politely told to "Just wait, it might show up, goodbye". I thought about that for an hour, and tried the "Live Chat" again. This time, they said they would put a tracer on the order (Friday, 8/12/2011). Of course, they did no such thing. I waited until Monday, 8/15/2011, and coerced UPS into actually putting a tracer on. Then I sent an email to NewEgg using their website, and checking the "Send me a copy" box. I never received a copy, nor any acknowledgment of the email. The next day, (8/16/2011) I sent yet another email, again, requesting a copy, and again receiving no acknowledgment.
For the record, on 8/17/2011, I sent a "Feedback" letter from their web site, again checking the "Send me a copy" box. Guess what? No copy, no anything.
On Thursday, 8/18/2011, I PHONED NewEgg, and went through everything again. The agent told me that "Everyone looking into the matter was at lunch, but they would get back to me that afternoon". You guessed it, they never got back. The next phone call on 8/19/2011 was pointless from about 30 seconds in so I hung up to save my blood pressure.
Honestly, I won't deal with them again. They bill immediately, that's true. Shipping? eh. I really don't care what happens in transit. The order did not arrive within the 6 day delivery window (maximum 3 attempts, of which none were made). At that point, Newegg should have refunded my money, or reshipped the items immediately. As it is, they refuse to even acknowledge a problem.
