thank you

we wasted 90 minutes at a WWT presentation meeting recently... it seemed shady...to say the least...didn't bite on the sales bs... and i would like to thank this site and others like it for saving us $100 on the airfare...hotel...and dining scam ! There are indeed too many restrictions...terms....and negative aspects of their vouchers to deem them useable...and the certified check in certified mail?? sheesh!! anything that seems too good to be true...usually is! WWT in long beach ca. and bayview incentives in florida SHOULD be prosecuted (or at LEAST investigated) by the "authorities"...but who knows...in this day and age perhaps our "law enforcement agencies" are in on it and getting a cut too! thanks for the heads up!

Thanks to all the people that write this review and help others become aware!

Thanks everyone! The internet is so great that it save alot of people time and money from these kind of scam! I was call by this company today and they stated I won a 7 days cruise or a 2 night stay in vegas completely free all inclusive. It sounded very fishy, so I look it up. And, yay! people actually write their reviews and it really help everyone be more aware of such scam! I am a very hard working mother of 1 and can not afford to be scam by my hard working money.

BUYER BE VERY AWARE

Too bad we did not find this web page before we got involved. We went to the presentation and bought the sizzle. I must say we did cancel and it was a bit of an ordeal. However, they did cancel the contract. Could have been mainly due to the laws which are in place. As far as the freebie airfare and 2 night stay anywhere in the continental US, don't bother. We are still waiting, since May 1, 2012. Water under the bridge now. I did file complaints at both the US Postal Service and Better Business Bureau. Our hope is to make others aware before losing their money too. If you do go to the presenation don't go because of the advertised promotions. A better choice would be to eat as many cookies and drink as much as you can!

WORLD TRAVEL, WORLD RIP OFF

Got the post card with the Expedia logo displayed leading me to believe it was on the level. Wasted a Saturday afternoon said no no no no no then finally got what had been described as "travel vouchers". Not so. I found it very strange the companies involved wanted money orders. It was never my intention to buy what was clearly a scam but the free gifts were a scam in themselves. Wish I head this website before making the 40 mile trip.
Be warned.

PROMOTION - PROMISES MADE FOR LISTENING TO SALES PROMO

Attended the sales presentation ONLY because World Travel said we would receive 2 Round Trip Airfares to anywhere in the continental USA and a 3 DAY / 2 Night hotel stay. Plus $50 Expedia Gift Card, $300 in Dining. Well, of course I know, nothing is really 'free' and none of this is free. Logged in to redeem the $300 dining rewards - cost $$ Airfare - Want me to send a cashier's check or money order before they will communicate with me $50 hotel card from Expedia - the redemption code is not valid. Listened to all that for nothing....The whole operation is extremely cheesy.

Scam? But thank God we didn't get taken!

We got the postcard too offering free airline tickets. Went to the presentation 5/5, got pressured double team and THANK GOD said NO. They gave us the certificate to Bayview Incentives 13650 Fiddlesticks Blvd.#202-288, Ft. Myers, FL 33912 that you need to send in with in 15 days with a NON-REFUNDABLE $49.00pp cashier's check or money order. Google Bayview Incentives, nothing! Then Google the address and no travel company found with the address. There was an customer service email that didn't go through (CustomerService@bayviewincentives.com). We almost got scam for the money orders. Hope this information helps others.

THEY ARE A SCAM

Me and my partner went to their presentation last week on Hughes Way in Long Beach, and we were pressured big time into buying their services, but we said no. Only after one hour of saying no, we finally got our voucher for the cruise. Before I sent in the non-refundable M.O. (why is it non-refundable and on a money order?) I wanted to know how much the port fees would be, so I googled them and I couldn't find any "Sunrise Travel" at 401 E. Las Olas Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Then, I googled customer comments about Sunrise Travel and World Travel and found this website with lots of disgruntled customers. I am definitely going to contact the BBB and the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce that World Travel at 1501 Hughes Way is a SCAM!!! I live nearby, so it wasn't too much out of my way, but I want them out of my community !!!

OMG, i'm the lucky one !!!

I too, received a post card from them offering a complementary cruise for 2 when attending their 90 minutes sales presentation. This sales presentation requires that you bring a second adult (your spouse or partner) but children are not allowed because of the limited spaces. In order to do this, my wife and I planned to take a day off from work, so we can both attend during a week day when the kids are in school. We made the reservation for the sales presentation on 2/20/2012 and received a confirmation letter with the Reservation Code IMS100LON, Date 2/24/2012 Friday, and time of 11am. On Friday, we drove 100 miles around trip to World Travel on 1501 Hughes Way Suite 100, Long Beach, CA 90810 1-800-843-2104. The young lady sitting at the receptionist desk (unfortunately didn't get her name because I was so pissed) told us that there is no sales presentation for that week. And with a real bitchy attitude, she said that there is nothing she can do for us. After I told her this is definitely going on the internet, an older lady in the office over heard and rushed out to us. She said that their reservation center was notified for the cancellation of sales presentation 2 weeks ago and apologize that I was still being scheduled to come and no one had contacted me for the cancellation. But still, after PTO days taken and 100 miles driven, there was no offer for any compensation, not even an offering a rescheduling on site (not that I would take it). I was sent home empty handed. This "servicing" company definitely gets my zero star vote. But after reading all the other treads, I realize that I'm the lucky one! Because I received no service, I didn't ended up paying anything. Whew, time to go out and celebrate. :) Another lesson learned... When something is too good to be true.... IT IS !!

World Travel/Sun Travel

My wife and I are totally disgusted with World Travel and their "partnership" with Sun Travel. I had a few questions to ask Sun Travel and despite my numerous phone calls to their office, no one ever answered the phone or even answered the emails. Of course, they cashed our checks for $200--so much for a "free" cruise. Then when we got a packet of information about the cruises, we found out that the cruises from Los Angeles are ONE-WAY cruises to Vancouver, BC. In addition to the initial $200 we paid, we would have to pay for all non-commission fees, reservation fees, fuel surcharges, gratuity fees, etc. Of course, we would have to pay the cost of flying back to LA from LA. So, the so-called "complimentary" cruise would end up costing us more than $800US to get back to Los Angeles. DO NOT sign up for this so-called "cruise". It is one big sad joke!!

Avoid these folks like the plague. On September 2, 2011, we attended a World Travel Services seminar in Long Beach where they pitched access to their travel agency for down payment several thousand dollars plus a monthly fee in the hundreds. We chose not to participate, but did send in the required Cashiers Check for $248.00 in order to get the free cruise they promised. The fact that they only take cashiers checks and not credit cards should have been a sufficient warning, but it was not. Of course they cashed the check, but would no take our calls or respond to emails or regular mail. When the BBB got involved, they explained that that Ultimate Executive Travel, another name they use, “does not offer a “FREE cruise”... UET does offer a “Complimentary Cruise”. To them, “free” and “complimentary” have different meanings. They added “UET does not accept calls from non-participants due to the fact that it takes up too much time explaining the Terms and Conditions to each and every caller.” Even though we had sent them $248, they did not consider us to be a participant. In my opinion, it is only a matter of time before these folks end up in jail and when that happens your money will never be recovered.

What a head ache working with this co. The Long beach Ca. Office is a mess! Getting anything booked there is like pulling teeth where there isn't anymore to pull. I cant get call backs from the booking office! You have to call several times. The wife and I end up finding the hotels and rates, then pass the info over to our so called travel agent. BEWARE, THEY USE ORBIT,EXPDIA AND OTHER SITES TO BOOK YOUR TRAVEL. It cost the wife and I 6000.00 and that's the cheap member ship. Would I do it again, NO! Some of the booking are not refundable. You can save money, but the stress of getting anything booked at the Long beach office is just not worth it. I went in one day to the Long beach office, to book. Getting no where on the phone or on line, left empty handed. They could not help me!. They had more people at the front desk, than they had in the travel. As for the free cruise, Its not free.

I signed up for their $8000 membership. Once I figured out that By directly contacting a travel advisor via email I was able to get travel (air, hotel, car rental) information which are comparable and up to 10% better than prices which I could find on the internet. This now allows me to look at more opportunities to travel. After paying $90 for the "free" cruise registration in April/May, no further information on my Free Cruise. Oct 3, 2011 wso Nov 10, 2011 additional information on Free cruise offering... Free Cruise for attending their Travel Services Presentation. Requires paying up front $90 to Ultimate Executive Travel 2417 Welsh Rd Suite 21-#337 Philadelphia, PA 19114 215-613 7882. Free 8 day Cruise is for Off Peak Cruise, inside room with bunk beds. I'm paying additional $331 for Mexican Riviera cruise to cover charges not included in offer. You must provide specific dates of travel and pay up front to hold any reservation. Nov 10, 2011 additional information on getting deals on hot weeks/purchased Condo weeks. By contacting Travel advisor you can get availability on 1 week lodging for $400 to $1000 per week at various locations. Location in Vegas for example seemed reasonable for $400 per week.

World Travel Long Beach is a SCAM! First they offer a cruise to people who will listen to their spiel and it turns out be through a marketing firm with a "shell" website. By the time you send in money for fees, etc. the cost of this cruise is over half of what one would pay for a inner berth, no view cabin. Then when you sign up for the travel program, all the promises made of having great deals on weekly condo rates in popular vacation locations is also a joke. The availability at many locations is minimal and if there are any condos available they are for studio units...not two or three bedrooms condos that they tell you at the presentation that you can get a severely discounted rate. If you want Hawaii, forget it! Through their travel service, the amount that you would pay for a two bedroom condo is about three times higher than what is presented to you at the initial presentation! They only give you 5 days to back out of your agreement, but they don't send you any access to their website until two weeks later, so you are stuck in their program and they won't give you a refund! Heed this warning....DO NOT JOIN THIS TRAVEL CLUB....THEY ARE A SCAM OPERATION!!
