Taken For A Ride

The sales person really sold me on the company how they were different and will show us the results. We signed up for a 4 Month contract and what a bad move. My project manager was very knowledgeable about SEO and PPC, but lied to me about the progress of the site and what tasks were being completed by her team. I had (3) other PPC companies look at how adwords and PLA's were managed after the (4) month period and they were all shocked that I had paid someone to manage the account. Revenue tracking was not set up, negative keywords were not set, along with a mile long list of things that should have been completed in the first month.
Communication was horrible, our Bi-Monthly calls lasted 30 minutes and during that time we had to cover all of the issues and tasks that were not completed from the last call. Reporting was a joke, they had (2) standard 1 page reports, one for SEO, which showed the 12 keywords and how they ranked. The PPC report showed only the stats that made it seem like they were producing, but when I dove in, it was very easy to see the truth.
I wasted (4) months and a ton of money working with these guys and just wanted others to know about it. I do not think these people are horrible, but I will definitely not use them again. It just felt like they took my money and that was it. I do not expect miracles in SEO or PPC in a short period of time and know that it takes at least 12 months or longer, but I can see when I’m being taken for a ride.
