A friend has had extensive (negative) experience with Midpoint Law Group/Frank Jodzio. Did manage to get a full refund of their illegal retainer fee, but by then, the damage was already done. We have collected much data about Midpoint and their associated scam enterprises that misled victims to Midpoint, nationwide. Have filed detailed complaints with both CFPB and CA Attorney General, both of which are useless. Midpoint officially shut-down in Jan this year, but its other enterprises were still functioning until very recently, which indicates that Jodzio is still operating but likely under a new enterprise. He still supposedly has a private law practice under his name in San Diego.

Thank you for the information. It is just what I suspected. There is another place you can submit a complaint and a request for $. Check the State Bar of California for their Client Security Fund application. I am going to file a complaint with the Bar. It is likely that Jodzio has many other complaints against him. Always a good idea to add to the pile. The Bar does go after attorneys like him. I always check now with the lawyer database that the State Bar of California maintains.
