Tekiela,
This company has several complaints similiar to yours on file and listed in Ask the Community, hence their F rating.
Trying to recuperate funds from a company that has gone out of business may be difficult. You can start by contacting the city hall in Glendale to see if their business license is still active and who the owner is as this would be needed in order to proceed to small claims court.
If you paid by credit card, contact your credit card company to see if they can assist in disputing the charges. Otherwise, you maybe at a loss.

When I initially ordered from them, their rating was an A, I checked them out on BBB prior to ordering from them. I was one of the first people to write a complaint against this company. I contacted Glendale's City Hall and their is no building permit for the 6606 San Fernando Rd address they have listed in Low Rider Magazine, nor the 815 Western Ave listed on BBB website. I was told by the clerk to contact L.A. County Records to see who requested a DBA for "Rims 4 Less". Since it's too late today, I'll be making that phone call Monday. Maybe I can get us all a name to sue in small claims court. Any other advice? Anyone?!

We need to all work together and put pressure on Lowrider magazine to go after Rims 4 Less and bring them to justice. Most of us, if not all of us were scammed through ads via Lowrider magazine. Would you invite your friends and family over to be scammed/ripped off by scam artists? So in that I would hope that they would do something about the mass amount of customers being ripped off. Therefore, we should start a long petition of signatures of people that have been ripped off by advertisers in Lowrider magazine. Also, we can let the retailers that carry this magazine know what is going on so that they can remove this publication from the shelf. With enough complaints this can be accomplished. Put ads up on your local Craigslist asking for people to come forward that have been scammed by any of these fraudulent advertisers!

I just looked through Lowrider mag today at the store to see if they still have these scammers in there and they are even though they dont even answer the phone. There is a new ad in there with the name Rims R Us (818-241-9200)out of Glendale, CA in addition to the original Rims 4 Less Ad. I found out that Motek(818-252-1113) and CUFI(818-768-7400)are also most likely these same guys.

I believe that CUFI wheels is the same. I posted a review for them. I am also getting the run around and not getting my money back!

Okay all, I found out we ALL need to contact the Southern California District Attorney, Fraud Division. 619-557-5610. They will investigate the case, and since there is obvious fraud, should have no problem proving it. This is our best chance at getting any money back and holding them accountable. It may take a while, but at least there's hope we can do SOMETHING.

Thanks Tekiela...I too will be contacting the California District Attorney. There should be something we can do about getting our money back! They have set up a nice lucrative business between them and Lowrider Magazine. Somebody needs to be held accountable legally.
