The address that they are registered with the BBB is not the address they have listed on their advertisement in lowrider magazines. They have 815 Western Avenue Unit, but when I contact the city of Glendale they business is not listed as an occupant...

I was able to locate their BBB report. It appears there are two separate file for two different companies using the name rims4less & Rims 4 Less. I have linked their report for you and you can see they have an F rating for similiar concerns such as yours.

You can file your complaint with the BBB and the other regulatory agencies metioned above or take them to court on your own.

Well, to all that are having problems with this company. I call them daily, and since Monday they have not been answering their phone (818)244-0049. So, I'm worried they have either gone out of business or got shut down by the state of CA. How are we supposed to get our money back now? I was going to file a claim in small claims court, but if there's no company to sue, how do I get my money?! HELP!

I am also having the same problem with this company. I placed the following report on ripoffreport.com.
I ordered a set of rims and tires through an ad found in Lowrider magazine on April 19,2010. I was told to send the money via Western Union quick collect. I went to US Bank and sent $800.00 via western union. I was told by Fred to call him right after sending the money to confirm payment. I called him after sending it and was given an order # of 1192. Then I was told to call back on Wed April 21st for a tracking number. Called back on April 21st and was told to call back on Thur April 22nd because they did not have the tracking number yet. Called back Thur and they still did not have a number and told me to call back Fri April 23rd. I called on April 23rd and was told to call back after 6 but there was no answer. Called Sat and was told that UPS was not open to get a tracking number so to call back on Mon April 26th. Called for number. They said to call back after 5 pacific time. He was very short with me. I called back at specified time and he said to
call back in a half an hour. Called back and there was no answer. Then I found a rip off report online for this business and the website for this business shows account suspended. (www.rimsforlessca.com)
As of now, no rims, and no refund.

I was told by my attorney that if I find at least 3 other people in my state(Wisconsin) that we could pursue this through the state. Then the authorities will get involved. ,I am also having the same problem with this company. I placed the following report on ripoffreport.com.

I fell into this trap as well. The last I heard from Rims 4 Less was Monday morning. I had the same run around going on for 3 weeks(Fred is out, shipping issues, call back later, "hold please", etc.). Please advise what actions each of you is doing so that we know how to go proceed.

Was anyone successful in getting a tracking number at all? If so, I might have found a way to get more information on the business. It worth a shot at this point, I can fill you in on what we need to do.

I contacted Glendale's City Hall and was told that Rims 4 Less doesn't have a building permit for either address listed in Low Rider magazine or on BBB website. I was told to call the L.A. County Recorder to see who applied for a DBA for Rims 4 Less. That's the name that will be needed in order to sue the company. For your reference the number to L.A. County Recorder is 562-462-2133. Since it's Friday, I'll have to wait until Monday to call and prayerfully find an answer. Is there anything else we can do in the mean time?
