I cannot provide any reasoning on behalf of Lowrider Magazine, however please remember advertisement "space" sold by the newspaper and any other magazine does not make them responsible for the business practices of who buys the advertising space. Ultimately it is up to the consumer to check out any company they want to do business with to protect themselves and their monies.
Have you filed your ocmplaint with the BBB?

Yes I did file a complaint with the BBB on Rims 4 Less and just received notification that the complaint is being closed with no response from them. It will remain on the file though.

I just looked through Lowrider mag today at the store to see if they still have these scammers in there and they are even though they dont even answer the phone. There is a new ad in there with the name Rims R Us (818-241-9200)out of Glendale, CA in addition to the original Rims 4 Less Ad. I found out that Motek(818-252-1113) and CUFI(818-768-7400)are also most likely these same guys.

Since Lowrider doesn't seem to care, we have to hurt them where it counts,"their distributors." By posting names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, amounts you were scammed, and most importantly where you purchased the magazine. This list of info can not only be used as a fact list of actual victims as proof to be submitted to many local and major distributors of this magazine, so as to warn them not just that we were scammed but by carrying this magazine they are knowingly setting up their customers to be ripped off. Most importantly keep notifying Lowrider and keep proof of this correspondence by all of us as to show that they are very much aware of what is going on. This could possibly show gross negligence and liability.

Whoa, i was just thinkin about ordering a set of rims from this place Rims R US, Cufi or U.S.A. tires. And since then, i've read or seen a post about all of them doing bad business. So i want to thank you guys for putting out there for people to see. I work to dang gone hard to be sending money off and getting ripped off. So thanks man!!!!! You are right Lowrider NEEDS to step up and let their consumers know whats going on. I've been with lowrider since the early 90's and this is just bad Business Practices, Lowrider. Step your game up front office.
