Legit Online Paid Surveys/Work From Home Websites
|
1/27/2010 9:07 AM (PST)
I am currently job hunting and looking for ways to make money.I have heard and seen that many supposedly are making money doing paid surveys and working from home for companies...the problem is not knowing which ones of both categories are legit and which are scams...regarding the online surveys,i dont expect to get rich off of them but it would be nice to know which ones are for real and which ones are a waste..can anybody here give a heads up on any online paid survey websites or online companies that are for real?..i know giving out info to an online jobsite or paying a fee to work is a scam..and im checking out the list of online paid survey companies here that are verified....thanks

You're right that it is possible to get paid for online surveys, though there are also a lot of scams out there. I cannot give you a list of legitimate websites, but I can offer some tips on things to look out for. First, be weary of any company that charges you a fee to complete an application or promises you'll get rich by taking surveys. The reality is, you might get paid anywhere from $1-$20 and it may not be in cash, but rather in coupons. Avoid falling for claims that guarantee you a job, or claim that you'll be a "certified" mystery shopper but do not offer training. Bottom line is, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! Make sure you know what the company is called who is offering you the surveys and where they are located, then check them out at www.bbb.org.

I have been looking for online work for 2 months and now am mostly looking at paid survey companies. It seems there is something "wrong" with all of them and none of them I have looked at are registered with the BBB. I can give you the website that was passed on to me that I started with. It is www.moneymakingmommy.com and this, of course, leads to join several job newsletters plus her own she sends out weekly. I did find her website listed with the BBB, but she is not a member. At least there weren't any complaints, but as she is not an employer, just a "job lister", any complaints would be with the company one signed up with, not her site. I understand your frustration, I'm frustrated, too. There has to be something legitmate, but I haven't found it yet. If anyone has, please post it. Thanks!
