Deplorable company, deplorable product, deplorable customer service and tech service. I had to threaten litigations in small claims and filing a consumer protection complaint to get them to give me proper tech support.
I have a problem with the LCD monitor on my laptop. It started a month ago, the laptop is less than 7 months old and it has a rather large area of dead and stuck pixels. Did the BIOS check with them, did the driver updates, did the manufacturer reboot, it wasn't dropped, it wasn't banged around. It's a manufacturing defect. They deleted one of 3 tech support tickets without even answering it. Finally have an address to send to repair depot after a month of fighting with them to get tech support.
They can't sync their information (thought my address was wrong) and at first refused to give a depot address to ship to. I had to again threaten litigation and complaints. A very pathetic company, they outsource to India for tech support. No number to call that I can see, very pathetic excuse of navigation on their site, hard to find details about issues or find the tech support. It's a wonder (not really) that the head honchos there don't have working email addresses or a phone number out in the corporate world for Acer. It's probably because they know their product sucks and their customer service, tech support sucks too.
I have to come to the BBB for their phone number and address because it's not listed or might be but can't find it on their site. A simple manufacturing defect, which in all honesty happens, and they can't get their thumbs out of their arses for one second to think with common sense. What a waste of my money and time. The only reason why they get one star from me is because you can't give negative stars or none at all.
