We were very dissatisfied with this company. The manager, Steve Carpenter, was very unprofessional. When he visited our house to pick up our dog, he smelled of alcohol. Also, he was asked to send the remains for an autopsy, which was very important to us. However, he told me that he decided on his own not to send the remains because it was too expensive and that too many hours had passed since the time of death, which was an assumption as to her time of death. He failed to communicate this to me for several days until I finally had to call him. Another concern we had was he nervously mentioned on more than one occasion that the ashes belonged to our dog, which we did not question until he kept bringing it up. When I mentioned my concerns about Steve to the owner of the business, Dave Gifford, he was very unprofessional and didn't seem concerned. In response to my complaint of Steve's possible alcohol consumption, he replied that what he does on his off time is his business and that he was not on call. His reply to Steve's assumptions and decision making was that they were not a concern to him.
