Review 3/29/2011
Joleee, first I need to tell you how unprofessional allstate moving company is. first the drivers where over 2.5 hours late when picking up at my location .I told Steve at first thing that I didn't' want any additional services.as for shrink wrapping, or bubble wrap. you stated that there where no charge for covers.why would I then be charge for 66 rolls of tape and other things when the blankets where at no charge? I was never shown a weight certificate to see what the truck weighed prior. My first quote that you gave me was for 4000 pounds. estimated of course then told you have have stuff in storage told you what I had and you calculated it to be 8000 pounds. I told you to add an extra 1000 pounds .Before my move I got rid of 3/4 of my storage to my friend. I had 10 boxes and 16 tables that was left in my storage .I know that I stated that my company was paying for the move. But however I feel that you have taken way advantage of this situation
when I first received my call from you stating the the weight was 11 thousand pounds I was in shock, disbalief.how do I go from a 4 thousand quote @ 1300.00 me bumping up the quote of weight to 9000. to your quote of 11 thousand pounds moved from a 1 bedroom apartment the items listed you have..
my friend was with me when you called, she stated that it was impossible, she then told me to ask to meet Steve at the scales to weigh the truck prior to him arriving at the scales..After numerous calls to you asking where Steve was you kept telling me that he was out of cell service. I had called Steve after you called and talked to him right away .weird thing is how after I informed you that we wanted to weigh the truck prior to delivering I get no response from you.. at 12 30 you said that Steve was 45 minutes away I said ok.. we told you to tell Steve that we would meet him at the scales off the 10 and hi way 162 at the truck stop.We got there at 1. when Steve finally arrived at the scalesat aprx 4 pm he went over to the scales I met him there and followed him to the cashier to pay. I offerd Steve the 9.00 to pay for the weighing of the truck. He paid the bill and threw the certificate on the counter. not even handing it to me. Was he that upset cause I didn't believe him? . When we got to my house Steve came in and calculated the weight certificate. there was a 200 pound difference there already. I paid Steve 2100.00 after the price difference of 56.00. I didn't have exact change so he owed me a balance never got a receipt from Steve.Just the receipt of the delivery.i then told Steve that our agreement was to weigh the truck after unloading. He seemed to have a problem with that. You talked to him not knowing what you where saying. I even called you twice prior to Steve arriving to my house to call me. Steve then told you to call me. You called me and we talked about the re weighing of the truck .I was charged for stair delivery and things I asked to go upstairs didn't't go upstairs.Seve brought the boxes to the end of the truck and we where caring them in. It took aprox 2 hours to unload this truck.Ater we finished unloading we reminded Steve that we wanted to weigh the truck empty. he said ok.As we where in the house Steve started to drive off and we ran to the truck once again to tell him that we are to meet at the .He then said ok.As we drove down Amanda Steve was in front of us as he passed the turn that he should have made he didn't't turn , so we got in front of him to follow us the the main road. the whole time stave was driving aprx 20 miles an hour.We thought that was weird.Once we got to the freeway (10) we had to pull over for Steve to catch up.Once on the freeway Steve was still driving rather slow. My friend stated that something seems wrong. The freeway speed is 65 and Steve was driving under 30 mph we had pulled over once again on the side of the freeway for Steve to catch up. When we got to the turnoff @ 162 to the truck scales Steve was right behind us.we then pulled into the station got out of the car,and walked to the scales. When we got there no Steve at the scales. weird again. My friend stated that maybe he was getting gas,so we walked to where the pumps where and behold no Steve. we then walked back to the scales to see if he was there once again no Steve. We went into the store and asked if anyone has used the scales in the past 10 minutes, He said no. At this point I called Steve on his cell phone to ask where he was and :30 and steve had turned his phone off. I called 3 or 4 times and still no ringing. Steve had no intentions of meeting us at the scales. I then figured he had something to hide .I left several messages on his phone. no call back and his phone was shut off .
I did call Steve in the morning.wow his phone rang and I hung up not sure what to say. I then get a return call from Steve. When I answered the phone I said hey Steve its Richard then Steve hung up on me. I then called him back and then again it was shut off. I find this very interesting.
I called my bank to put a dispute charge on my credit card, and then proceeded to call the police. I also have a case # with them.scales
I called you Monday to inform you all about my ordeal. You sounded like you where concerned about my move and everything that Steve did was wrong. You then told me that you where going to fire him after he got back You also stated that you would give only charge me for the 8000 pounds . You also stated that Steve didn't' charge me for the additional charges nor the 5% credit card charge. You said that he was just being nice. You then told me that you would have to talk with your supervisor about this ordeal, and that you would get back to me the next day..
I then called you Tuesday and not 1 time did you return my phone call. Why is that?.I then spoke to you on Wednesday and you said that you would figure out a compensation for my troubles.you then said give me 10 minutes to figure it out and you will call me back in 10 minutes. I waited 3 hours before I then called you back.At that time you offered me 300.00. I told you that was not acceptable. I left you a message and stating that I will follow thru with the police and Also with my bank on this dispute.

I would like Steve last name and also his partners first and last name. Also the truck weight before it arrived to my 1 bedroom apartment in Buena park. Steve did mention that it was a 30 foot truck. Also Steve did drive to new Mexico to pick up another move. Is there also a weight certificate from the truck going to new Mexico?...

In closing this letter to you and to my bank and also the chandler police department. I did state that I had no problem in paying you if we re weighed the truck upon Steve leaving my house in Arizona. when he didn't't stop at the scales I think I proved my point

i was really concerned when the weight of the truck was 200 lbs less weight than the quote you gave me.so to end this story I called my credit card and put a claim on the charge of 1000.00 and also the 250.00 it will be disputed. Since i did not get the weight of the truck being empty . I do have a right to have the truck weighed if i felt that it was misscalculated in weight.
