This Association, although I appreciate all they do for the animals in need have a very bad issue with customer service and showing dignity and respect to the client. The following was my experience. Called at 1247 on 5/12 spoke to a lady, explained that my dog had either eaten or swallowed something & wasn't eating or drinking and I need to come in and see the vet. I also told her that I have no money and my husband had lost his job. She first told me that they couldn't see her & then I was put on hold and she talked to the doctor. I was then told to bring her on in. She verified that we were in the system and up to date with all our information, she told me to bring a min of $100 & come in asap. I got there around 1:20. We walked in, neither of the vet techs looked up, all Anna said was to take a ticket. I then proceeded to try to explain that I didn't have an appoitment & was told to come in right away. She told me that they take people in the order that they come in. I took a number and a seat. Shasta then began drooling, panting & shaking bad. I went went up to the desk to get a tissue & then asked about how long was the wait time. I was told they didn't know and that I needed to calm down, I was calm I said. I didn't yell or get loud. She repeted it over & over then went & told the manager that I was being loud and wouldn't calm down. I was then pulled outside & was yelled at by the manager & told to calm down somemore & told to sit down & shut up or leave. Wasn't given a chance to tell my side. I was then yelled at again in the examroom I was told "before we start we are having a conversation about what happen" I told Kathy Pierce that I didn't want to talk about it anylonger, it was said and done she responded to me by saying "You will listen or you will leave". I was belittled badly. I was not shown dignity or respect as per their #1 goal listen on the sign above the recieption area.
