My experience with Atlantis Credit was terrible. Miguel Zapien, the CEO, has absolutely no idea of what customer service means. He is arrogant, rude and a professional liar. I think he used to be in the army, because he will give you the military "my way or the freeway" type of treatment. Way to go, GI Joe!
Atlantis Credit charged me $499.00 and then ignored my phone calls for almost six months (originally, they told me their services were only for $299). I asked to receive personal attention, because I was in a hard situation and did not want to waste any time. Mr Zapien told me he would help me in person... and then disappeared for five months. Now, I live far away from his office, so I can't drive all the way over there without an appointment. But when I tried to contact him by phone, his secretary was rude as well and invariably sent me to a voicemail. I lost count of how many messages I left on that voicemail. I left nice messages, angry messages, complains and finally I gave up.
After four months, I finally called again and spoke to Mr. Zapien, who denies ever receiving a single message from me. It seems his secretary and one of his employees told him I called, but he never felt like answering to a customer. He already has my money and his secretary already sent four letters to the credit bureaus, so his mission has been accomplished. What a ripoff!
Bottom line: Atlantis Credit treated me like dirt. I don't know if I will get my money back or if they will finally give me the service I deserve for my money. But the damage is been done.
