This letter is to complain about a service I received from Brahman Honda on August 14 2008. I brought my car for the 60000 miles check up and they supposedly performed everything that was needed to have it working better than before (Meaning before it worked perfect).
Few days later I drove to Naples Florida under terrible weather conditions but the car was driving fine. Everything seemed to be ok. When I reached my first stop which was at the entrance of Naples in a red light I notice that smoke was coming out of the front of the car. Since I was in a red light I try to get the car going to our final destination which was a hotel couple of blocks from that light to see if we can get assistance.
Once we stopped at the hotel, the car never started again. Opened the hood of the car and noticed that a big explosion had occurred since there were particles of melted plastic all over. Opened the water container and was empty, opened the oil measurement needle and was dry. Call up somebody from a local garage and once he saw the status of the car told me he was not going to touch the car since it didn’t have oil or water and it might ruin my warranty from Honda.
Next morning called Brahman Honda and complaint about the status of my car, since they were the last “professionals” that checked up the car and complaint about what happened.
They sent a tow truck and towed my car to Miami. The tow company was paid from Brahman Honda. I had to rent a car to get back to Miami and Brahman Honda paid for the rental.
The car was at their garage for a week, they gave it back to me on August 23 2008.
On October 1st 2008 I had to bring the car again because the car stopped in the middle of the road. Thank God it was in a local road right before getting in a red light. Police came to find out why I was blocking traffic and after trying couple of times the car started again and I could bring it to the dealer.
At this opportunity they told me that they were not able to duplicate the concerned and that the vehicle was operating normal. They also suggested that it could be a battery problem which if that was the case how come they didn’t suggested that the day I brought it the first time? I called my mechanic and ask if he thought my battery needed to be changed? He told me that he didn’t think so but to bring it to him to check. Since the car was at Brahman Honda I decided to go thru their advice and change the battery.
Another 118 dollars and the result my car still leaves me in the middle of the road.
Ever since my car has stopped in the middle of the road but since it starts right away and knowing how frustrating is to go to waist my time to the dealership and that I have to work to be able to earn money to live, I continue with my duties. “Afraid that my car would stop anywhere”. One morning, as I am leaving my home and getting into the highway right after stopping at the red light and already in the highway my car stops at this time is not the police that scares me for blocking the traffic is my own fear that once again I am putting my life and the life of others at risk and every time that I bring my car to the dealership they don’t do anything to fix the problem that for them was impossible to duplicate but in fact is putting people’s life at risk.
I care about safety and my only request is to have my car the way I brought it before I decided to take it to Brahman Honda (With a good engine). My car was in perfect conditions. It only needed a check up for the 60000 miles.
Now I have a car that doesn’t work with a repaired engine and dangerous in the road.
Needless to say my frustration has mounted to the level that I fix think I need your help to fix this problem.
Braman Honda is not a reliable company, they failed to satisfy their supposedly high customer support standards, their advertisements are misleading.
