Review 6/29/2010
Quality of work is poor, company lied and mislead us during construction of our home.

- Company installed a gas log fireplace with blower. We reported to them on 3 separate occasion that the blower was not working. Each time we were told it had to hit a certain degree for it to kick in. We had two independent companies check out the fireplace, neither could see where a blower was installed. Filed a complaint with the BBB and within a week we received a call from Bryant Heating and Air saying they had ordered the blower and would install it as soon as it arrived. All along they knew they had not installed one and lied to us indicating they had.

- Company was also hired to install a York HVAC system. Numerous times we complained that the system was not heating, only to be told it was because we had such high ceilings, it was a cold winter. ON 02/6/10 after receiving a $ 300.00 electric bill my husband check the filter to see if it was clean. Upon opening the unit the filter was found to still be in the original shipping carton and had not been installed. Because of that the coils were completely covered in construction dirt, tape and construction debris. Again we told them it was not properly heating the home and they said the checked it and the system was working properly.
On Feb 10, 2010 we again called them out here to check the system. They said they checked the refrigerant and pressures and they were fine. We continued to have problems with the system

- On June 24th I contacted the York Service Area rep to explain our situation and to also indicated the AC was not cooling as should be. York sent another company out to check out our system and this is what they found:
-- The outside unit was not grounded
-- Air flow was set on 2175 cfm when it should be set on 1200 cfm
-- Circuit board on air handler was on factory default settings and never adjusted for the home
-- Circuit board on outside unit was set on default settings and never adjusted for the home and was not adjusted for a 2 cycle compressor
-- Refrigerant line was 23 degree above ideal temp of 45 degrees.
Refrigerant was not added on installation to accommodate length of line nor was it added on our numerous request to check it.
-- Thermostat was program for wrong system. Heating unit was working when on ac mode.
Due to improper installation the system was working as a 1.95 ton unit instead of the 3 ton we purchased.
-- Told us they registered our equipment for warranty information. York said that they did not
In my opinion they are incompetent and should do have a license to install HVAC equipment.
