Do not bother to go there this is a bad deal
|
With our new RV we got an invitation to spend 3 days at the Emerald Cove Resort on the lower Colorado river if we agreed to listen to a sales presentation for 90 minutes. Along with the free stay we were offered $100 gas voucher and several additional stays at the resort. What we were not told are the restrictions that came with the gas voucher and the additional stays. Those restrictions were such that we decided not to bother any more. There are other places to boat. 1) The $100 gas voucher was only valid for Shell gas and had to be purchased in at maximum of $25 at a time and each purchase had to be no less than 60 days from the previous. The 4 gas purchased had to be completed within 240 days. They sure made it convenient. 2) Additional stays at the resort could not include weekends. As far as the resort was concerned it is in a poor state of maintenance, food at the snack bar was greasy, the pool and cool decking were in desperate need of repairs. The great river beach was lined up with so many boats as to render it unusable. On the positive side if you like the roaring sound of a big block Chevy engine, you are in for a treat from 5 AM to 10 PM. The river water to totally trashed by big long boats hosting the previously mentioned big block Chevy engines. Stay about 2 mile south of the resort there is a No-Wake area where you can float in peace away from the insanity.
