I was visiting my parents and the front door lock stopped working. I called two locksmiths who had 800 numbers, they asked what type of lock I had, I checked and it was a Baldwin. Both locksmiths told me that the lock had to be replaced. One quote was for $800 and the other for $1200.
I then called Conejo Lock and Key Service and the owner told me that Baldwin locks could be repaired. His quote was for no more than $200. They came out the next day and repaired the front door lock with a charge of $120 total.
My mother tried the lock and she said the lock had never worked better.
