Thnx to all of you who have written reviews. It saved me a lot of time and trouble. I, too, was contacted out of the blue about a time share I had listed for sale thru “Realty Trades” - another scam outfit. The Lady at CVS said she had never heard of them - yeah, right!
My first clue that things weren’t quite right was that she said they had a firm offer for an amount 3 times the going rate. Then when we were discussing the amenities of my unit she stated that I had exactly what their clients, who had just been approved for financing, wanted. Later in the conversation I mentioned that I had forgotten about the fold out bed in the unit & that it slept 6. “Oh, that’s just what our clients wanted.” was the reply.
She leaned hard on the “No out of pocket” costs, until the $1388 paperwork fee came up. “Oh, we do require that to cover the costs of researching the title.” At that point I said I didn’t do business w/ a company I didn’t know w/o checking them out thru the BBB first and I would call back after that. Conversation over. I will call them back because I said I would - only reason. CAUTION - SCAM OUTFIT!!
