Use this company at your own risk. My family and I were moving across country and needed our two cars transported. I spoke with Tom Henderson and he seemed nice and helpful and explained that because I was shipping two cars, he could give me a discounted rate. He suggested we stagger the cars so we could use one until we moved and have the other one at our new home upon arrival. In short, the experience was a learning experience. Never again will I hire a company without doing my homework first. If I had read the other reviews, I might have been clued into what to expect. The car that was supposed to be picked up first (the SUV we really needed at our new home) languished days after it was scheduled to depart while the other car was picked up immediately (because it was smaller, the INDEPENDENT drivers were eager to take it), while come to find out, Tom had not given us a reasonable quote on the larger vehicle, a price that would get a driver to take it. Long story short, we had to pay more money to get our SUV shipped, nearly a week late mind you. We had to rent a car on the other end and the whole thing cost us an extra $400 and A LOT of unneeded stress. The company is a broker, one of the drivers told us that we could have hired him directly and saved the $200 some brokerage fee Cross Country Transport charged us. Lesson learned, but it as an expensive one.
