Any writer considering joining eHow to make a residual income should read the eHow member's forum first. There have been chronic technical bugs resulting in payment problems, unanswered questions for months about whether eHow pays writers for articles they copy to their new UK site (which is all of them), and numerous other complaints and unresolved issues.
And even though several forum threads documenting the above problems have been deleted by eHow, there is still plenty of evidence of unhappy members and unanswered questions.
Several members are now publicly calling for a formal investigation into eHow and parent company, Demand Media's, questionable business practices. Save yourself the headache, and before you join, read the terms of use carefully.
