Battery won't charge

I purchased a replacement battery (BT51) for my old Motorola cell phone. When I tried to charge it the phone said charging and in 10 seconds it said charging complete. I unplugged the charger and the phone went off it was dead. So I put my old battery back in to be sure it was not the phone/charger and it worked perfectly,started charging and kept running when I disconnected the charger. Tried their battery again same thing. So following their instructions I tried charging it for 30 hours LOL even though I know it said charging complete just to be sure. You know the answer to my retest "SAME THING" Battery dead. I sent them an email with my old order information. They quickly replied and sent me a new battery. Well when I received that battery exactly the same thing happened so I am still using my old battery for now. Wish I saw this site before buying in the first place. I won't bother calling EMTC again I'll just chuck them and go to Radio shack.
The Good: They quickly replied to my email and sent a new Battery
The Bad: Neither battery worked
Bottom line: I wasted My Time, Money and still have to get a new battery.
