Review 8/16/2010
|
After relocating back to the southeast Florida area with two small children, I began the process of purchasing a home with well water and and older heat pump system. After realizing the challenges of understanding both well-based water systems in a tropical climate and a heat pump the manufacture disowned, I realized I didn't know enough about either the water I consumed nor the way a water-based heat pump worked, and what was required to ensure they were safe.
Fortunately, Andrew from East Coast Water had maintained the system from the prior owner, and helped me to fully understand the system. After getting a few more quotes, I retained Andrew and East Coast Water because no one was willing to give me upfront and deadly honest answers about how these systems worked so I could be an active part of the process of my water and heatpump systems
Andrew and Dave from East Coast Water not only ensured that the water was safe before I began settling into the home, they ensured that the heatpump plumbing was sound, explained the limitations of that particular heatpump system, and educated me as to sound well-water practices (such as water sanitation) and possible improvements in areas of my home (such as relocating a water heater for better effeciency and rerouting plumbing for a washer to reduce softened water usage), as well as addressing concerns of water filtering methods (such as practical differences between sodium and potassium salts, and the costs versus benefit).
Finally they were more than diligent to educate me and review the entire system's function when severe medical circumstances affecting my children forced review of sodium content in their diets, and any effects of sodium from a water softening/filtration system.
For anyone reading this review, I wouldn't hesitate to personally speak with anyone with any questions on this company's quality, as this is one of the few companies I trust with a set of keys to my house unaccompanied.
