THEY KILLED MY ST BERNARD!!!!!!!!!!!!
THESE PEOPLE KILLED MY ST BERNARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These people are despicable SCUM! My St Bernard lost her vision due to Diabetes, and I wanted to do whatever possible to get her vision back. My now former Vet referred me to Eye Care For Animals in Tustin CA. At Eye Care for Animals direction, I spent 1k doing all the prelim tests to make sure my girl was fit to be under Anesthesia and was a candidate for the surgery. I didn't have a good feeling from this place from the start. At my initial consult, the doctor seemed like he was impatient and wanted to be somewhere else, like I was taking too much of his time, but they were a referral from my primary Vet so I ignored my instinct and scheduled the surgery. The original consult was in July of 2018, and my price for the Surgery doing both eyes was going to be $5679. We had to wait to do the surgery until My St. Bernard's glucose level were level for several months, once that happened, we scheduled the surgery. I called on December 13th to schedule, but now the price went up to $6030!!!!!! After tripping over themselves with excuses like used car salesman, they said they were going to "Do me a favor" and honor the original quote for $5679. This was the 2ND time I felt uncomfortable with these people, but I wanted my girl to get her vision back so bad I chalked it up to just another "Money hungry Vet" that was trying to extract every dollar they could from a pet owner that loved their dog. All throughout the consultation and up to scheduling, I reconfirmed numerous times my concerns with a dog of her size and if there were risks for being under Anesthesia (I had read online they could be high) but was "Assured" it wasn't a concern. The surgery was scheduled, and my St. Bernard dropped off at 8:30 am February 21st. We called at 4 p.m. and everything was going well, and that the dog could be picked up in 30 minutes. Around 12 minutes after that call we received another call that the dog went under cardiac arrest and that they rushed her over to the 24-hour care next door. We rushed over to the ER and the dog had severe brain damage and was hooked up to all kinds of tubes. We went from "Everything is all right" to the dog being in the ER, her eyes rolled back in her head barking in a vegetative state! I am a 268 lb power lifter, and I lost it at the shock of my dog being in that state when I left her int his clinic in perfect health!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The "Manager" from eye care for animals called us late that night, making all kinds of excuses on what "May have happened". To say we were in shock because of everything that transpired within a short amount of time was an understatement. We left the dog at the ER and told them to do absolutely everything they could to save her, she is my daughter!!!!!! We went to see her the next day (February 22nd) and her condition was much worse, it was devastating to see. Then the ER doc then told us that Eye Care for Animals had come over to check my St. Bernard's eyes to see of the surgery worked! Fng SCUM!!!!!!!!!! The dog is in a vegetative state and these people are checking her eyes? We IMMEDIATELY told the ER that Eye Care for Animals was to have absolutely NO ACCESS to our dog. The next day we had to put her down! On top of this, my ER bill was over $8,000, and my dog was gone!!!! This was THE MOST traumatic experience we have ever been through. We didn't hear from eye care for animals for over two weeks, then got "Flowers" at the house with a B.S. card. No bill was ever sent, and I wasn't going to call them for fear of rage and reliving this nightmare! I figured they wouldn't bill me after the 8k bill from the ER and everything else they caused. Fast forward to today, March 29th, 2019, THESE SCUM send me a bill in the mail for $5542 after almost 40 days!!! These COWARDS also have the nerve to write that they are not charging me to "Resuscitate" the dog, and that their system charges and extra fee for bills due over 30 days! I am serving them, and we are going to small claims court. These people make used car salesman look like war heroes! If you care ANYTHING about your animal, stay FAR AWAY from this place. These people have changed my life for the worse and EXEMPLIFY- GREED, INCOMPETENCE, INDIFFERENCE, ARROGANCE, DECEITFULNESS and are just disgusting human beings!!!!!!!!!! KARMA is coming for you!
