Great rate and good results on 2 loans

Back in July 2011 I was looking to combine my 1st and 2nd mortgage on my home into one lower interest 30yr fixed to reduce my monthly payment, and to get away from Citi Mortgage. I'd already refi'd my 1st down to 5%, but I still had a 7.8% 2nd (originally from National Bank of Kansas City).
Brandon Caffrey of Ovation Home Loans in Belleview, Washington contacted me (from an internet search for rates) was able to make it happen. At first I was concerned, as I never heard of Ovation, Carnegie, or Grand Bank, but with lots of emails, scanned documents, and phone calls, I was pleased with the result.
With a great appraisal, he got us a single 4.35% conforming 30yr fixed loan, saving us about $800 a month!!
I was so soooo happy with this, that I asked if he could refi my 2 rental houses, which were both at 6% with 20yrs left on 30yr fixed.
Brandon did even better!!
In September 2011, Brandon was able to combine the two loans into a SINGLE 15yr 3.75% fixed loan on one home, completing paying off the other home, with about the SAME payment as the 2 combined, saving us 5 years of payments!
He even was able to arrange to have us sign the papers while on vacation in DC.
Other than a few mixups along the way and a $85 surprise at signing, I'm very happy with the service of Ovation Home Loans.
Be warned that your loan will be with Carnegie Mortgage and serviced by Dovenmeuhle, a subservicer. While we had initial problems getting our first few payments in (address & loan number changes, no on-line payment), we now have automatic payments schedule and no problems!
After all is said and done, I'm very happy with my decision to go with Ovation and would highly recommend them. Unfortunately Brandon Caffrey no longer works for Ovation :( but I'm sure there are others that can make you happy at Ovation with your new loan.
