Called me claiming to be Century Link: They asked me to "Just say yes" when prompted by a third party on the line to accept a "free" long distance plan. Then, I was charged by Peak Communications AND LD Access. I called both companies, and after explaining that this was clearly a scam, I was told my account would be credited.
I then called USBI who claimed not to have anything to do with this as they are "just a billing department." USBI said I would have to contact Peak and LD Access to recitfy the situation, and they provided the phone numbers.
I called Century Link and was told this is indeed a telemarketer scam. Do not agree to anything or "just say yes" despite what they tell you. This should be a lawsuit in the making.
