Very uncooperative business. I was cheated!

I joined Planet Fitness under a one year contract and as the year was drawing to an end I asked the front desk to make a note on my membership that I did not want to continue after the year obligation was met. I was told that I could not do that until after the year was up. I went back a month later and cancelled my membership and was told that the next years annual fee had just been sent out and it was too late to stop the automatic draw on my credit card. When I called Planet Fitness to try to get a refund they would not cooperate and told me they would have the regional manager call me to discuss. I have never received any such call. I do not appreciate the run around I received in dealing with the staff and will never have a good thing to say about this business ever again.
