These companies, Clean Whites, Dazzle Smile and others like them, pull the same fraudulant activities and I filed complaints against them with the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. They advertise the tooth whitening systems as free. But they asked you to pay $1.95 for shipping. Then they send you a receipt saying thanks for signing up for our $80 toothpaste (like anyone is going to pay $80 for that!) and tell you that you agreed for them to automatically debit your credit card for this and future purchases, which I, and other consumers, never agreed to. (In their terms and conditions, it states that you have to pay the $80 for the MONTH, but when you order the free 14-DAY trial, that is completely misleading.) There are pages and pages of people on the internet who have complained about these companies. See www.complaintsboard.com, for instance. They have the logos of ABC, CBS, the New York Times and WebMd on their sites, as though they are affiliated with those presitgious companies, although they aren't. One ad acts as though it's a housewife who "discovered" a free way of whitening teeth, etc. I tried to resolve this on my own and wasted hours and hours. I can't believe AOL and other legitimate companies even allow them to advertise. It's horrendous! And it is very frustrating to have this happen.
