Smart Choice is not a smart choice!

We bought a mechanical leather sofa from Eldorado Furniture at 1901 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 on 07/2017. We also bought, with the advice of the store, a 3-year protection Plan called Smart Choice. A few weeks ago my wife called the insurance company to complain that the sofa on the right side is tilting toward the armrest.
Smart Choice said that we did not informed them in a timely manner (30 days) and therefore will not honor the insurance. In my opinion, this insurance company's customer service needs adjustment on how to treat their clients and the company that advised us to purchase this plan as well.
