On the date of 02/12/2011 I was in Los Angeles with my family and had my girlfriend go to this location to pay our car tags on the vehicle we had just purchased. While in there my girlfriend spoke to a lady , my girlfriend explained that she needed to pay 2 years worth of expiration (2009-2010) on the vehicles car tags. The lady not only told her that she can do it, but that she can also receive her car tags once the job was completed. Once the lady "reviewed" the status of the vehicle she told my girlfriend that it'll be 491 dollars for the 2 years the car was expired and 25 dollars extra for their services . My girlfriend gladly paid, once she took the money she told my girlfriend that she was sorry but a mistake had been made. Due to the fact that the vehicle had 6 parking violations she was not able to complete the car tag renewal. She was only able to pay 1 year off, and that the rest of the balance was paid to the DMV for the outstanding parking violations (that didn't belong to me but to the previous owner of the vehicle). Now here is my argument I call the place after my girlfriend gives me a brief explanation about the situation. I request a refund for my 491 dollars and the lady tell me "sir you need to be quiet, and listen to me." so I get upset and ask to speak to the manager the manager was a bit more understanding however after admitting that it was her workers fault for not checking the screen on the side which notifies them about the citations, she later contradicts her self by saying, that it really was not the workers fault. Now here I am 491 dollars short and I didn't even receive the service which I wanted. Instead I paid the previous owners parking violations, and my car tags are still out of date... Mistakes like this should not happen when your verbally promised a service which is not granted, now I understand these people are very ignorant because only a highschool diploma is needed to work there. However managers should do a better job supervising workers. The only refund we received was 21 dollars out of the 25 and 4 dollars were kept due to another mistake made by the clerk... I do not recommend this place..
