My wife and I just used this moving company, my stuff was just delivered an hour ago. I am real, not paid by anyone for this. I am writing this review for anyone out there looking for a good deal. THIS IS NOT IT. Total moving estimate, $1,169.00 . Moving weight allowed for base price 2,112 lbs. Total moving price, $1,216.19 . Down payment 10% $116 . Pick up price 60% $729.60 . Price for use of blankets,boxes and tape $140 . Actual paid price for pick up $943.14 . Apparently there is a 3% charge for paying with a credit/debit card. Supposed delivery price 30%/ $365 . Quoted delivery price $776.
Item's weight and inventory. 1 couch 80 lbs. 1 entertainment center 100 lbs. 1 mattress 100-120 lbs. 1 box spring 25 lbs. 1 t.v. 35 lbs. 1 dresser/w 3 full drawers 200 lbs. Boxes and misc. 550 lbs.(high estimate) total= 1110 lbs. 1 excersise bike 92 lbs. 1 Olympic weight bench 102 lbs. 1 treadmill 198 lbs. 1 curl and dumbbell kit 28.45 lbs. 1 pull up station 99 lbs. 1 gold's gym Olympic weight set 215 lbs. Total= 734.45 lbs. Complete total weight = 1,844.45 lbs. Keep in mind that this is a high estimate. Moving company Quoted weight - 2,672 lbs.
This company tried to say that we had that much weight. They also said that we had 94 items. I told them that we did not have that much, then the guy said oh oh minus 41 so you have 53 items (actual amount 48 items). When he quoted me the weight over the phone, I said sarcastically " Then you must be adding extra Iron weights on the truck before and after". He said," Yes, yes added weight". Lol he didn't even deny it. Granted every person I dealt with in this company were from other countries and none spoke very good English. So after I told this person that there was no possible way our stuff came to that amount, he said "I will talk to supervisor and get you a discount, then I will call you back in 20 minute". When he called back he asked me how much the remainder should be. I said "around $400". So I got a final price of $434. This was only after I insisted that I go with the delivery driver to re weigh the truck and threatened to bring a lawyer with me. I knew they were trying to cheat me and did not allow it.
I still paid a bit more than I was supposed to but not $400 more. As for the condition of my stuff, my couch has a rip in it where there was none. My excersise equipment is scratched to hell, but it still works amazingly. My entertainment center is chipped and scratched up. I fear the condition of the computer monitor I sent with them. And I only pray that nothing is missing. In total I spent $1,494 not counting tips I gave out of kindness which was $58 total. When my quoted price was $1,216.19 . THIS COMPANY SUCKS AND TRIES TO RIP PEOPLE OFF!!!!!!! DO NOT GO WITH THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR POSESSIONS YOU WILL NOT LIKE THE RESULTS.
